All real estate documents is Minnesota are written in English.  And they should be.  English is the national language of the United States and as far as I know, all laws are written in English.  But that can make it very difficult for people from other countries who do not have as good a command of the English language as a native speaker might have.  And let's face it, even the laws written in English and read by native English-speakers are often misunderstood and sometimes have to be "interpreted" by a court of law.  Real estate laws and documents are no exception.  They can be very confusing.

If English is not your native language, it's no wonder that you may not fully understand the real estate customs and the meanings of many of the documents used by real estate professionals here in Minnesota.  But, it's critically important that you do understand these things before you go forward with a home purchase.
